I think it started where I was with my best friend, Alexus, and we were at Camp Amigo (a camp we both go to) and on that day, the camp went to Sulpher Springs pool. Alexus had both of her kids there and I kept trying to tell people that Sulpher Springs was where I did my swim team meets at as a kid, and also wasn't sure if I should also admit that it was where I was SA'd. (I don't know if I actually was irl, but in the dream I was sure of it). After this point, I started feeling an underlying bit of anxiety. The dream shifted a bit and it was time to leave, it skipped forward to us being outside and waiting for a train to pick us up to leave, and I realized I forgot my purse with my phone in it and panicked thinking it was too late, not being able to remember where it was. I don't remember what happened, but it was something bad, and in my dream, time reversed and I was aware of it and remembered to grab my purse from a shelf before leaving this time. When I went outside to get on the train, I tried to find Alexus and couldn't at first and that made me panic, I wanted to sit with her. While trying to find the right cart, the train ended up leaving me behind and I remember chasing it until it disappeared into the horizon. While chasing it, I remember thinking it was odd that I was running fast enough to keep up at first. I think in my dream, time reversed again and this time I was on the train, and it made a stop at my house. I was confused at first, a bunch of stuff was in the yard and I decided to grab some stuff from in the house before the train left again. Some stuff moved around and everyone's bags were in my yard so I guess we were changing trains? I went inside my house and it was empty, my mom and dad were both off, seeming like they were mourning something and busy trying to move out. I didn't understand, but I was rushing so I just tried to get it done quickly. When I finally went outside, I realized the shoes I was wearing were gone. I looked everywhere and asked my mom for help but couldn't find them and had to put on a pair of flip flops I have that don't fit. I was upset and anxious about this. It skips around and we end up back on the train, and this time I'm sitting next to Alexus. I start to relax and get excited, and then I realize my aunt Tammy and her husband are sitting across from us. To give you context, I am no contact with Tammy, she is an awful person IRL and tried to kill my grandpa/accuse my mom of mistreating him/is what I consider essentially the worst/most evil human being possible. So in the dream, I panic and try to pretend like I don't recognize her since I haven't seen her since I was a kid. I try to subtly tell Alexus who she is, but she keeps getting distracted and talking to a girl sitting beside her, I try to pull out my laptop and type a message to her, but the girl keeps reading it over her shoulder and it makes me uncomfortable because I was trying to be subtle. I don't remember what exactly happens, but I end up exasperated and just announce it to everyone on the train. At this point, now that the cat is out of the bag, my aunt and her husband who for some reason was the main person (despite never meeting him irl) They start stirring drama and it ends up turning into an argument, I don't remember everything specific that happened but it was getting intense and other people on the train were noticing/forming opinions about it. Something happens and the train makes a stop for a second, a bunch of people (including Alexus) start to step off and the train suddenly moves again, causing several people and Alexus to fall off and get injured. My aunt Tammy also is one of the people who falls off. I panic about Alexus but the train keeps moving and leaves them behind. I freak out and start asking people what to do, saying we need to go back, someone tells me it injured her really bad and I panic. I don't remember what happens next, but after some time we find Alexus again and she shows me her injuries, deep slashes across the whole front of her body, but she seems to be okay and sits with me again. The fighting with my aunts husband gets really bad, and multiple people in the train are involved at this point. Its blurry here, but I remember a man from camp named Troy takes my aunts husbands side and says I'm not the same person I used to be, insinuating I did something bad. It skips around a little and the train finally stops at night at our destination, a market with a bunch of stalls? It's dark and I'm freaking out and trying to find Alexus (and my bag, because my phone is somehow missing again??) and I see police lights and when I turn, the cops are tasing and beating my aunts husband up. I'm still freaking out, something feels really wrong and I just want to find Alexus. I go up to Rusty, the camp leader who irl is like a dad to me, and tell him I'm scared. He's upset and focused on trying to do damage control and doesn't have a lot of time to comfort me. It skips around and Alexus finds me and says my parents are looking for me and we need to leave. I agree and go with her, and halfway through when I finally find my parents, I remember I lost my phone. Alexus says she'll go get it and runs off, and then my parents force me to leave without her. I realize Alexus doesn't have the babies with her and for a moment I'm shocked she cared about me so much she trusted someone else to watch them while she helped me. I freak out because I don't want to leave Alexus behind, my mom tries to tell my dad to wait but he gets angry and says he can't believe I want her to come with us, when she helped my aunt. I get really confused because this isn't true. My dad drives to this giant hotel that looks like it's for rich people and drops me and my mom off at the front and speeds away to park. My mom and I go ahead and try to find out room, passing by celebrities as we do? When I open the hotel room door, suddenly my mom isn't there and instead it's an ambiguous man from my life (I think it was a mix of my dad and my grandpa? idk) trying to show me a baby girl/toddler girl my aunt brought and it's blurry but he tried to insinuate I should forgive my aunt and be involved? I panicked bad and woke up earlier than my alarm after this and felt unsettled for an hour after.
Dreams like the one you described often contain deep layers of meaning, reflecting your personal experiences, emotions, and unresolved conflicts. Here’s a detailed breakdown of key elements from your dream, along with their possible interpretations:
The dream begins at a familiar place—Camp Amigo, a symbol of safety or childhood innocence, where you might feel a connection to a simpler time, friendship, and fun. However, it quickly shifts into a place of underlying anxiety, especially with the mention of Sulpher Springs, which holds both nostalgic and potentially traumatic memories. You expressing uncertainty about whether you were SA'd in your waking life indicates that there may be unresolved feelings or confusion regarding past experiences. The pool can symbolize emotional depth or hidden fears, suggesting that you may be grappling with unresolved emotional issues that affect your sense of safety.
The rising anxiety throughout the dream reflects feelings of being overwhelmed, which may signify current stresses in your waking life. The purse represents a sense of self—your personal identity and control. Losing it signifies feelings of vulnerability or losing one’s grasp on your own life circumstances. Returning to retrieve it symbolizes a desire for second chances or the ability to correct perceived mistakes or insecurities in your life.
Trains often represent a journey in life—where they lead can signify your personal and emotional path. Feeling like you’re left behind or unable to catch a train can symbolize feelings of missing opportunities or not being prepared for upcoming changes. The train leaving without you reflects a fear of abandonment or missing out on important connections. Chasing after it signifies a struggle against time and circumstances, along with an inner tension regarding your ability to keep up with life’s demands.
The presence of your Aunt Tammy, who represents deep-seated conflict and unresolved family trauma, indicates that her characteristics and past actions haunt you, suggesting you may feel judged or misunderstood in your interactions with others. Her appearing in the dream can imply that unfinished business in this relationship is weighing on your mind. The argument that ensues represents a confrontation of unresolved familial issues—showing your internal struggle with these conflicts that sometimes feel inescapable.
Alexus getting hurt mirrors fears of losing those you care about and feeling helpless in protecting them. The deep slashes she suffers can represent the emotional wounds endured from familial conflicts as well as the fear of connections being harmed due to drama. This moment can symbolize a crossroad where you must confront difficult emotions attached to loss, guilt, or loyalty.
The hotel represents transient comfort, but it becomes a confusing space when your familiar support system (your mom) disappears, symbolizing feelings of abandonment. The ambiguous male figure can represent conflicting aspects of authority or a familial connection that is demanding your attention. Showing you a baby girl could symbolize feelings of nostalgia, innocence, and the pressures of expectations—possibly a reminder that you should forgive and mend relationships.
The unsettling feelings upon waking indicate that the dream touches on deep fears and anxieties about safety, connection, responsibility, and unresolved trauma. The blend of familiar and strange elements illustrates a complex inner world where you’re attempting to navigate your relationships, boundaries, and past experiences.
Consider journaling about parts of this dream that resonate. Reflecting on feelings of anxiety, abandonment, and conflict may help in processing these thoughts in your waking life. Engaging in conversations with trusted friends or a therapist may also offer clarity and help in addressing feelings of confusion or unresolved issues.
